Tuesday Night Card Class: November 23, 2010

Let me know if you want to sign up for Tuesday's card class!  There are still a few spots left.  See the bottom of this post for class details.

***********************************

Card #1 features the Birthday Bakery stamp set and some simple sponging with crumb cake ink.  Birthday Bakery is one of our exclusive hostess sets, so it cannot be purchased.  You can get this set for free if you host a Stampin' Up! workshop (minimum $150)!

There are a few other options for getting the hostess benefits.  You can get hostess benefits if you place a single order of $150 or more.  Another option is to group orders with your friends so that they total at least $150 - - ask me about how you can do this!

A final option is to join Stamp Club, which will start in January 2011 and will meet once a month through June 2011.  We will need 6 people signed up for stamp club to begin.  Each club member commits to spending $25 per month (before sales tax and shipping) for six months and will receive the hostess benefits during one of those six months.  Click here to learn more about Stamp Club and contact me if you're interested in joining!

Card #2 also uses a Level 1 Hostess set called Because I Care.  I applied Champagne Shimmer Paint directly onto the Hydrangea rubber stamp using a Sponge Dauber.   This is a new product that we have not used in card class before.  The shimmer paint really sparkles but I couldn't get it to show up well on a photo.

This is a Gate Fold card.  Cut your Basic Black card stock to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and score at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8" on the long side.

Stamps: Because I Care (Level 1 Hostess)
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Card Stock: Basic Black, Brushed Gold, Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Champagne Shimmer Paint, Sponge Daubers, 1-3/4" X 7/8" Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Card #3 features A Cute Christmas stamp set and the Northern Flurry embossing folder from the Holiday Mini catalog.   I was inspired by a card that my upline Sally gave me a few years ago.  I remember she layered some punched circles and used a snowman as a focal point.

Of course, back in those days, we didn't have a Big Shot Machine or Rich Razzleberry ink.  I'm not even sure we had Bashful Blue back then.  How on earth did we survive?

Stamps: A Cute Christmas (Holiday Mini)
Ink: Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry
Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Big Shot: Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (Holiday Mini)
Accessories: Blender Pen, 5/8" Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain Ribbon, 1" and 1-3/8" Circle Punches, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch
