Tuesday Night Card Class: July 26 photos

Hi everyone!  Here are the cards from tonight's class.

The Lace Ribbon Border punch looks beautiful when layered!  I love this little piggy from the Button Buddies stamp set.

The leaf and background were stamped using a custom multicolor ink pad that I created with an unscented baby wipe and a few drops from my Classic ink refills.

If you're afraid to tie knots ... don't worry!  The knot in the ribbon is fake!  Just add a Stampin' Dimensional to the middle of the ribbon and wrap a 1-1/4" piece of ribbon around it.

The large floral image was heat embossed using black embossing powder.  The My Friend stamp set coordinates with our Pocketful of Posies designer series paper so you can make professional looking projects quickly and easily.

Ruffled Ribbon Shares

Hi everyone!  If you participated in my 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon Share this month, I wanted to let you know that the order came in and the ribbon has been repackaged and is ready to go!

Here is a peek at how I packaged them!  Aren't they so cute?  Each package contains 2 yards of each of the 5 new In Colors, for a total of 10 yards.

If you missed out on the first round of ribbon shares and would like to participate in the next one, just let me know.  What I will do is order a 10 yard spool of each color and then cut them all into 2 yard lengths.  The ribbon share allows you to sample different colors at a much lower price than trying to buy a full spool in every color we offer!

This is a Z-fold card.  Begin with your standard 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base.  Score the longer side at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4"

Tuesday Night Card Class: July 12 photos

If you have ever read through the supply lists for the cards I design, you'll notice that I generally stick with one stamp set plus one greeting or background set.  For my color schemes, I select two or three coordinating colors of card stock plus one neutral (whisper white or very vanilla) and then I use the matching ink pads.  The Color Coach tool has been instrumental in helping me color coordinate my projects.  I rely on it every week!  I also draw inspiration from the colors used in the Designer Series Paper packs.

Here are cards from the July 12 card class! 

This birthday card features some of new embossing folders in the 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog.  I love how the Extra-Large Oval Punch fits *perfectly* in the oval from the Designer Frames embossing folders set.
