How to Make Tile Coasters

Making beverage coasters out of tile is so easy and fun!  I found these 4" tiles at my local home improvement store.  Here is how you can turn them into coasters:

1.) Stamp your image with black Staz-on ink.  (The butterfly image I used is from a discontinued hostess set called Measure of a Life.)

2.) Color the image with your Stampin' Pastels and a blender pen.

3.) Take the tile outside and spray it with a matte acrylic sealer to lock in the color.  Be sure to check the wind direction so that it doesn't blow right back in your face!

4.) Once your tile is dry, glue some felt or cork to the back of the tile so that it won't scratch your furniture.

And that's it!  I told you it was easy!

Acrylic Post it Note Holders

Hey everyone!  Today's project is an inexpensive 3-1/2"x5" acrylic photo frame that I turned into a holder for Post-It notes.  I plan on making a bunch of these to sell at holiday craft fairs later on this year.  I think little gifts like this are just perfect for teachers and co-workers!

The cherry image is from the Tart & Tangy stamp set.

Butterfly Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card that I made for my Mom using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.  Do you like the Orchid Opulence card stock and ink pad I used?  Orchid Opulence is one of many colors that are retiring in June.  Be sure to stock up on your ink refills, markers, and card stock before they are discontinued!

Father's Day: Scrapbook in a Box

Coming soon for Father's Day ... We will make a little box that opens up to reveal a mini scrapbook designed to hold four 2"x2" photos!

We will also make a coordinating greeting card to complete the gift.

Watch the video to see how the box folds up!  (There is no sound in the video.)  For your reference, the page measures 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" when it's opened up and the vanilla square in the middle that says "dad" is 2-1/4" x 2-1/4".
