Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

Today's project is a variation of a card we made at last week's card class.

We used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then brayered over the raised texture.  Use gentle pressure when brayering to make sure your ink only goes on the raised surface.

The hummingbird was heat embossed and then I sponged over him with Marina Mist ink and wiped off the excess with a tissue.  If you would like to see the Emboss Resist technique in action, book a workshop with me and I will demonstrate how to make this card!

Have a great weekend!

Punch and then layer the pieces -  an owl body, a small heart, and detailed eyes (not just one circle size but three so you can layer and create dimension!)

Here is the first card I made with the owl punch!  I mailed this card today ... and now I'm wishing I made another one to keep for my card collection because the owl is just too darn adorable! hee hee

*NEW* Peaceful Season Hostess Set

Here is a sneak peek at an exclusive Level 2 Hostess Set called Peaceful Season that will be available on September 1!.  This stamp set can be yours FREE by hosting a qualifying workshop or by placing a minimum $350 order.  Book your September workshop with me now so you can earn this beautiful stamp set and use it for your holiday cards and gifts this year!

One of the greatest advantages of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the ability to get the newest products before everyone else!  At the annual convention, I received the Peaceful Season stamp set along with the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper, Champagne Glass Glitter, and a Cherry Cobbler ink pad!

The Champagne Glass Glitter and Deck the Halls DSP will be available to order on September 1.

To adhere the Glass Glitter on the first card, I ran a bead of Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755, $3.95) along all four edges of the Whisper White card stock.  Don't worry if your glue line is thicker in some places or isn't perfectly straight - the glass glitter is very chunky and therefore very forgiving!

For the second card, I went for a more clean and traditional look.  I think the color combination of Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla is going to be very popular this year!

Have a great weekend!

Want to learn how to make this adorable scrapbook page?  If you book a workshop with me, you and your guests can all make and take this project home!  Let me show you how quick and easy scrapbooking can be.
