Pop Up Christmas Card

Here is the second card we're making at card class on Tuesday, October 5!  Watch the short video to see the popup Christmas tree scene!  Contact me to sign up for this class!

Last Day to Sign up for World Card Making Day

Just a reminder that today is the last day to sign up for the World Card Making Day class on Saturday, October 2nd.  Photos of the projects and class details can be found on this earlier post: http://www.stampinghut.com/2010/09/saturday-oct-2-2010-celebrate-world.html

Hope to see you there!

Tuesday Night Card Class - Oct 5 at 7 PM

Here is Card #1 for the next card class on Tuesday, October 5.  This fall themed Thank You card features the Paisley Prints rubber stamp set that I received at the 2010 Stampin' Up! Convention back in July.

Did you notice all of the colors on each of the leaves?  I created my own custom multicolor ink pad using a baby wipe and a few drops from three re-inker bottles. When you want to stamp the same image multiple times, this method is a LOT faster than using markers to color directly onto your stamp.

Also check out the Faux Glitter Brads ... I applied glitter to mini glue dots!  Love it!!!

Paisley Prints Thank You Card

Stamps: Paisley Prints (Holiday Mini), Thank You Kindly
Ink Pad: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie

Versmark Resist Technique

This is the third project that we'll be making at the card class on Tuesday, September 28, 2010.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I used Glossy White Card Stock which gives this card a shiny finish!

To create this card, stamp the flowers using Versamark on Glossy White card stock.  Next, sponge Baja Breeze ink on the center of each flower, Marina Mist ink on the outer portions of each flower, and Bashful Blue ink in the white space between the flowers. The Versamark will resist the ink!

Call or e-mail me if you'd like to sign up for this class.  See Friday's post for class details!

Ink: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist
Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Glossy White

Ribbon: 1/8" Taffeta in Basic Black

Tuesday Night Card Class - Sept 28 at 7 PM

Don't forget to sign up for the next card class on Tuesday, September 28 at 7 PM!  Here is the adorable Christmas card that we'll be making.  Don't you just love the silver tinsel from the Holiday Mini Catalog?  The tinsel is on a flexible wire, so just snip off as much as you need and then wrap it around a piece of card stock or ribbon.  If you want to adhere the tinsel instead of wrapping it, I'd recommend using mini glue dots instead of SNAIL.

Comfort & Joy Card

Stamps: Word Play
Ink: Real Red
Card Stock: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Punches: 1-3/4" Circle, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle
Ribbon: 1-1/4" Real Red Striped Grosgrain, Silver Tinsel (Holiday Mini)

Card #3 for Sept 21 class!

Each week at card class, we do a Christmas card that takes about 5 minutes to complete!  This is the design we will be making on Tuesday, September 21.  I love making clean and simple cards just like this one!

Are you planning on making your own holiday cards this year?  Assembly line style is the way to go when you are mass producing your projects.  Try dedicating one day to designing, one day to cutting all of your paper, one day to stamping and punching, and one day to adhering all of your layers!

Hope to see you at card class.  Contact me to sign up!

Card #2 for Sept 21 card class!

Here is the second card we will be making at the next card class on Tuesday, September 21!  I am going to teach you how to make three dimensional paper flowers.  The end result is simply stunning!

When I designed this card, I envisioned it being placed in a gift basket with shower gels and lotions.  (Yes, I know that sounds really corny, but it's true!)   Use a padded envelope when mailing; however there is still a risk that the flower will get crushed during transit.  I highly recommend hand delivering this beautiful card.

Halloween Owl Card

This is one of the projects we will be making at the next card class on Tuesday, September 21 at 7:00 PM!  Doesn't this owl look so adorable in his little witch's hat?  I added a sprinkling of Supernova Glitter onto the hat to add a little bit of sparkle.

The sheet that I used from the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper collection comes with black flocking on some of the polka dots!  The flocking adds a soft, fuzzy texture to your projects.
